Volunteer Driver Program

DO YOU NEED A RIDE?

Safe • Reliable • Insured

Our Volunteer Driver Program provides transportation to residents of Keremeos, Cawston, Olalla and Hedley who are not able to travel independently. Our Volunteer Drivers are available to take you to local and out of town medical appointments and local shopping necessary for your well being.

Rides are booked through the Volunteer Coordinator at L.S.C.S.S. Please provide a minimum of 24 hours advance notice and time and length of the appointment at the time of booking. A donation to cover the cost of fuel and a portion of vehicle maintenance costs is paid by the client directly to the driver. The suggested donation may be subsidized for out-of-town medical specialist or surgery appointment. Clients will be advised at the time of booking, if this is the case.

Volunteer drivers are not trained to provide transfers or assist with client medical needs; therefore clients must be able to transfer independently, and to attend to their own personal /medical needs. Drivers are volunteers and should be treated with respect and consideration.

Call to book a ride, or for more information.
