Application Process

Housing Application Process

Lower Similkameen Community Service Society works with BC Housing to manage several housing complexes in the Keremeos Area. The buildings in Keremeos are offered on various income thresholds meaning that those who do not qualify for BC Housing subsidies may still qualify under affordable housing.

 

Once your application has been received it will be evaluated and a Housing Coordinator will set-up an appointment to discuss available options. 

How Should I apply?

Individuals and families with income below $56,000* annually (*depending on unit size)

- Apply directly to The Housing Registry

  • Click here for online application 

  • BC Housing will evaluate applications and determine eligibility

  • Please note that you must update your application every 6 months to stay active on The Housing Registry

  • If your application is denied by The Housing Registry please complete the pdf application below and send to us

Affordable Social Purpose Housing

Lower Similkameen Community Service Society manages and operates several levels of social housing in Keremeos, for families, seniors and persons with disabilities. The affordability of housing options ranges from low-end of market pricing to deep subsidies, each building offers various options and our Housing Coordinators will work with you to determine your eligibility.

 

Discover the housing option that would work best for you, then contact our Housing Coordinators to make an appointment and discuss the options available for you and your family. 

Explore Housing:

Mixed Use Housing - suitable for all ages and income levels, these newer residential units will support your active South Similkameen lifestyle.

Senior Rental Housing - designed for seniors who are able to live independently, these residential units will give you the complete freedom to continue your lifestyle with affordable income-based rent.

Senior Supportive Housing - geared towards seniors who like their independence but need some help with weekly housekeeping. Supportive housing offers one prepared meal daily and activities. 

Assisted Living - suitable for seniors and individuals who need help with daily tasks, and having meal prepared. Assisted living offers communal gathering spaces and activities.
